Maca Gil is a Head of Story, Storyboard and Comic Artist with more than 10 years of experience working for animated feature films, TV shows and graphic novels.

She recently finished her work as a Head of Story for an unreleased feature film directed by Octavio Rodriguez called On the Edge (2027), and is currently boarding on a project done between Disney and Bardel.

She has worked in a great variety of projects, from independent films with more adult themes like Decorado (2025), to bigger studio productions like Angry Birds 3 (2026) in DNEG or My Father’s Dragon (2022) in Cartoon Saloon. She has experience in stop-motion film storyboarding, like in Olivia y el terremoto invisible (2025), and has plenty of TV experience from earlier in her career.

Notably, she did the entire animatic, as the sole storyboard artist for the Academy Award nominated film Robot Dreams (2023).

She’s also an author of DC comics Anti/Hero, and one of the three artists for Around the Spider-verse: Gwen’s Break.
